- 07 Apr 2001 - MacKenzie on page 160 stated that Philip was a Priest in Strathglass. A Medlam File (Macrea.h1) stated that Rev. Philip was sent to the Seminary in Samalaman at an early age and was one of the first students to enter the Seminary at Lismore where he was promoted to Holy Orders by Bishop John Chisholm (his Uncle) in 1806.
