      29 Jan 2002 - Ancestry.com had a Family Tree submitted by Robert Rhoads NET>
      which included many Chisholm starting with John "Ban" Chisholm. DJC used some of the data from his Family Tree to supplement names and dates already on file.

      13 Jun 2002 - Andrew Way from California just visited Scotland and found reference in the Transcriptions of the Gaelic Society of Inverness on page 401 to "Iain Ban" (fair John) of Knockfin being removed and replaced by two lowland sheep farmers.

      John "Iain Ban" was replaced in 1810 when his lease expired by two Lowland sheep farmers, Bryden and Laidlaw.

      John was not a crofter but was one of the largest tacksmen in Strathglass. He was not even given a chance to offer for his farm but it was let over his head to Laidlaw and Bryden.
