Notes |
- 12 Mar 2001 - Reference page 31 in the Medlam PDF Files. The "Usidean" came from Sister Margaret MacDonell at Mount St. Bernard's in Antigonish, Nova Scotia. On page 220 of the History of the Catholic Church in Eastern Nova Scotia by Rev. Johnston, he stated that Mary Chisholm and Hugh MacDonell were the parents of Rev. Alexander MacDonell, the first Parish Priest in Judique, Inverness County.
01 May 2004 - In the Obituary Notice for his grandson, Austin Chisholm, it was mentioned that he was a near relative of Bishop Alexander MacDonell of Kingston. Presumably Hugh and the Bishop were closely related, if not brothers.
