- 01 May 2004 - His Obituary Notice was in the November 10, 1898 Casket. He taught school for several years in Nova Scotia, he left in 1840(9) to try his fortune as a school teacher in the Province of Ontario. He was related to Bishop Alexander MacDonell of Kingston, presumably through his MacDonell mother, who directed Austin to Glengarry County, Ontario. It appears that he taught school for 40 years.
